Ascending Fujisan – Mt. Fuji (Japan)

It’s probably more perceivable with a video to show Mt.Fuji (or as Japanese would call “Fujisan”), so here it is.

Many would start ascending at 5th station as I did,  although some would choose to start at the bottom.

I’d reckon the latter to be bit difficult for beginners, as even starting at 5th station was exhausting for me. (I’m a beginner by the way)

To get to 5th station, first take the train via metro line to Gotemba station, right outside the station exit, there’s a booth selling bus ticket to 5th station.

The time gap between buses are quite long (couple hours), so it’s best to check the bus itinerary before heading over.

There’re different routes you can take to ascend Mt.Fuji, I picked Subashiri Trail, as other trails seem to be swarming with tourists most of the time.

The sea of clouds is simply magnificent when you reach the summit, makes all the climbing worth it.
